Job Summary:
The Digital Preservation Specialist is responsible for managing and preserving digital information and assets within the organization's library and information science environment. 4. Conduct regular audits and assessments of digital assets to ensure ongoing integrity and authenticity.
5. Establish and maintain metadata standards and schemas for digital preservation purposes.
6. Monitor and maintain digital preservation systems, including storage and backup solutions.
7. Perform regular quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of preserved digital content.
8. Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and standards in digital preservation.
9. Provide guidance and support to staff members regarding digital preservation best practices.
10. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the security and privacy of preserved digital materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience with digital asset management systems and content management systems.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
